October 30, 2018

In Math students learned four strategies for predicting the next term.  1) Guessing, 2) Using the last term in the picture, 3) Using the length of the core to estimate and 4) The most likely term.  They learned that both guessing and the most likely term are not overly effective.   They did an amazing job of using graph paper to create, predict and extend to check their answer. 

Students also learned a game, ON MY HEAD, to review basic fact strategy +/-1.  A video of this game can be found on our Mental Math Games page of our blog.  

Notes for tomorrow:
- Snack parents, please drop your snack at the office in the morning.
- Wear costumes to school.
- RBES Costume Parade 9am.
- Class party in the afternoon.
