Today we signed our Energize Challenge and committed to doing 60 minutes of physical activity per day.  Each day, students will bring home their Energize Log, we will record the activity that they do in school, and ask that you write in any activity that they do at home.  For every full week of activity, students will receive one entry into the draw for a class trip to the Oilers Game.

In Math, we discussed ways that we could sort shapes (number of sides, number of corners, shape name, shape size).

Let's change states.  Today we learned that adding heat to ice will result in a change of state from solid to a liquid.  Our science class was filled with friendly competition as students attempted to be the first to melt a piece of ice.  First place went to Rourke, who placed his ice cube in a glass of hot water.  Sawsha secure second place by microwaving his ice cube.  Tialla finished third by rubbing the ice cube between her hands.  The most unique award today went to Damien, who used his forehead to melt his ice cube!
