We began our day with the HLAT. The HLAT is a writing assessment which provides a snapshot of student writing ability at the start of each grade; students will write this test in September of each school year. I encourage you to talk to your child about their story; I was amazed by the creativity of the 2D storytellers and am looking forward to reading many more stories throughout the year!
